Infigo CEO & Founder, Douglas Gibson, to talk at TLMI printTHINK Seminar 2024
We’re unveiling a number of exciting new integrations and innovative uses of AI at the AWA & TLMI printTHINK Industry Seminar, on 8-9 September 2024, held from the Hyatt Rosemont, in Chicago, IL.
Co-located with Labelexpo Americas 2024 just a few days later (10-12th Sep), this time located at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, also in Chicago, the seminar, which we are attending for the third year in a row, maximizes participation across the value chain, featuring presentations, panel discussions, and insights from industry leaders, experts, and brand owners.
With exciting keynote speakers, panel discussions, and networking sessions, the seminar covers topics such as labels, inks, substrates, materials, tooling, automation, and digital print advancements, providing ample opportunities for peer connection and discovering new growth avenues.
During the seminar, Infigo CEO & Founder Douglas Gibson will take part in a discussion on the latest AI advancements in print. Douglas will explain how Infigo has been demonstrating the use of AI in print workflows, following on from our roaring success as HP’s exclusive web-to-print partner, during DRUPA Dusseldorf in May, in which we utilised AI face-swap technology to transform attendees into their very own superhero.
AI integrations and superpowered workflows
Douglas said: “Since the inception of Infigo almost 15 years ago, we have been pushing the boundaries of integrated workflows and this is now supercharged by AI.
At this year’s DRUPA exhibition, we created an incredible automated, integrated workflow, where users took a selfie and were transformed into using an AI filter. These were then uploaded to our pre-created templates, where users could design their own labels or packaging products.
“Once the designs were finalised, users could view them in our 3D preview integration, complete with any embellishments. Once the order was completed and checked out, they then received a confirmation email, along with an order number, so they could “track and trace” progress across the workflow and collect the finished product when it was ready.
The process involved integrations with our friends and MIS partners, CERM and HYBRID Software, with the finished labels and packaging printed off by HP Indigo’s respective 6k and 200k machines.
This type of automated and integrated workflow is the future of print, and those who can harness the latest developments in print technology will have a competitive advantage.”
Speak peek at our new MD and latest web-to-label integrations
Newly appointed Infigo Managing Director, Alex Bowell, will also be in attendance, giving visitors a sneak peek at some of Infigo’s latest MIS integrations, which will be launched at Labelexpo Americas, in the following days.
These include:
- Connect: CERM – This MIS integration is tailored to the labels and packing industry, brings together Infigo’s e-commerce and personalisation prowess with CERM’s estimating, workflow and job management expertise to provide a complete package for label converters. its USA debut after a successful run in the EU.
- Connect: Labeltrax – Another powerful MIS, for the labels & flexible packaging segments of the printing industry.
Alex’ passion for innovation within the labels industry has been widely acknowledged over the years, through attendances and contributions at countless industry events, such as CERM User Groups and even the PRINTING United Alliance’s Digital Packaging Summit, in which his labels demonstration gained official recognition, winning an award for Best Showcase Presentation. So his attendance at the summit will no doubt exercise his experience and enthusiasm over both days of the event.
Alex said: “We recognise that our customers all have different business needs and therefore use different MIS systems in different ways. Our aim is to be the most versatile web-to-print provider on the market and demonstrating our ability to seamlessly work with a variety of other software and hardware is what sets us apart.
“This innovative spirit is what enticed me to join Infigo more than a decade ago and I’m proud to be building on everything we have achieved over the last decade as MD.”
Game of Pickleball, anyone?
And to top it all off Infigo is proud to sponsor the exclusive Pickleball tournament at printTHINK.
For those unfamiliar, pickleball is a rapidly growing sport in the USA, combining elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.
We’ll be providing branded Infigo rackets as prizes, so you have a constant reminder about how integrated AI can help you ace the print competition.
We look forward to connecting with you in Chicago and sharing our latest innovations.
