Blog: Over 200 postcard orders at Dscoop Edge Indy

Posted on

We had a blast this year in Indianapolis 🏁

Not only did our collaboration with HP Site Flow generate over 200 orders for attendee souvenir postcards through the official Dscoop /Infigo app, but we also made loads of new connections within all areas of the Dscoop community.

To recap, Infigo’s web-to-print experts were not only on hand to show-off the latest upgrades we’ve made over the last 12 months, but also demonstrate how time-consuming, manual jobs can be easily transformed into a fully automated print workflow.

Watch the highlights

Attending the exhibition was Infigo Head of Global Marketing Chris Minn and Head of Global Sales, Paul Bromley, joined by Carissa Smith, from our North American marketing base, as well as Infigo CEO & Founder, Douglas Gibson, who was on his usual high-energy networking drive across the exhibition floor.

Not only that, but Infigo partners HYBRID Software, CERM, Esko, Significans Automation, MindFire and GPA Substrate Solutions were also close by, so attendees really were able to experience our solution from start-to-finish.

Over 200 orders for Dscoop souvenir postcards

Infigo teamed up yet again with our partners and friends at HP Graphic Arts , for another ground-breaking demonstration of the online automated print process.

Attendees were able to create their own Dscoop postcard by taking their own picture, uploading it via an Infigo storefront, in partnership with Dscoop, then see it processed through PrintOS Site Flow, before collecting the finished product, all within minutes.

Users then saw first-hand how Infigo and HP’s PrintOS Site Flow can be integrated with other third party providers, to create a user-friendly experience for both customers and printers, all through a fully automated workflow, that significantly increases efficiency and reduces overheads.

“Amazing to see the process in action”

It was amazing to see attendees actively taking ‘selfies’ and then uploading them through the souvenir section of the mobile Dscoop app dashboard.

This demonstrates how an Infigo storefront can be uniquely branded, so clients don’t realise that they are technically accessing a separate site.

Once the image was uploaded, users were then able to tweak their design, to personalise within pre-set templates. The job is then sent to PrintOS Site Flow, which automatically preps files, batches, schedules, imposes and delivers jobs.

This can either be to your own press or to an outsourced PrintOS Site Flow partner. While PrintOS Production Pro creates finishing plans for leading finishing equipment. Jobs print on the HP Indigo digital press and are kitted via barcode scanning with other items and dispatched to shipping.

Hot off the press

The finished postcards were then quickly displayed for easy pickup in the showcase. In short, attendees witnessed how Infigo and HP’s PrintOS Site Flow can be integrated with a range of other platforms (including other storefront, MIS and workflow platforms) to create a simplified, automated process with limited touchpoints.

Always beer o'clock

Also, thanks to craft brewing experts, Tony’ Belgian Beer, we demonstrated another end-to-end bottle label workflow, printed with HP’s state-of-the-art 6k press, following their recent success at Labelexpo Europe.

Attendees saw first-hand how a personalised beer label can be designed, ordered and paid for through an Infigo storefront before it is pre-flighted and proofed, placed into the workflow, printed and cut, with minimal human interaction. Attendees then of course kept the bottles of beer they were printed on!

"At Dscoop, the essence of 'community' has always been the cornerstone"

Infigo head of Global Sales, Paul Bromley, who was in attendance said on the event: “Once again, customer and partner feedback has been outstanding with regards the the Infigo platform and ability to scale and drive revenue.

“The Dscoop community, as always, has allowed us demonstrate our market-leading web-to-print solution, as a fully connected HP eco-system, from the trade show floor.

As always Infigo continues to innovate and 2024 will be no different with new and exciting developments to come!”

Infigo Head of Global Marketing, Chris Minn, who was also in attendance, said: “At Dscoop, the essence of ‘community’ has always been the cornerstone.

And Edge Indy has been no different, as we witnessed Infigo not just participating, but actively weaving together the tapestry of our partners, enhancing solutions and resources for our customers.

Engaging with numerous printer service providers, each already integrated into our software ecosystem, was a powerful affirmation of our developers’ dedication and the innovative strides our web-to-print solution has made.

This gathering was a vivid testament to the collective efforts and groundbreaking progress we’ve achieved together.”
