Paul Bromley’s career in the print industry is nothing short of remarkable. Starting at the tender age of 16, Bromley’s journey through the ranks of various companies like GMG, Esko, printIQ and now Infigo has been fuelled by a passion for technology and innovation.

 

His first-hand experience with the transition from traditional film to CTP (computer to print), digital presses, and advanced litho printing highlights a career dedicated to embracing change.

 

Paul says: “My background is pretty much all the technologies and I’ve seen all the changes film to CTP, to digital presses, then to more advanced litho presses and then more recently the industrial sort of change in regards to digital matching.

 

“And also software, that’s what I do. I’ve always loved software, always been hands-on and worked within workflow and automation solutions and really, that’s the geek in me.”

A new chapter of innovation with Infigo

Joining Infigo marked a significant chapter in Bromley’s career, driven by the prospect of continuous innovation within the company. Despite being in the role for just 8 months, Paul has already clocked up many airmiles, spreadiung the benefits of integrated workflows, spearheaded by Infigo’s storefronts. Chris points out that having worked for organisations across the entire workflow gives Paul a unique perspective.

 

This perspective is crucial in an industry where technological advancements rapidly redefine the production landscape.

 

Paul said: “My background of being software-based and and having those conversations with different people, which maybe the technical director or staff in the business or the owners being able to relate the value between an MIS and the web-to-print side and how they joined together through automation.

 

“You see the lights go on because they can see they’ve got half of the story already made in that integration.”

 

The synergy of partnerships and technological Integration

 

One of the standout aspects of Infigo, which attracted Paul to the company, is its collaborative approach with partners. This is not just about technology integration but also about understanding the nuanced needs of customers and the market. Paul says: “Automation is key for any business nowadays and it’s not a word that should scare people. In the past it was very much people would be worried that it would replace them. But I think mundane tasks are the ones you should look to automate as much as you can because it allows your staff to then focus on the higher value jobs, which is, you know, critical for any business.”
