2022 in review and what you can expect to come from Infigo in the new year

It’s natural around this time of year to think about what you’ve achieved in the past and what you’re aiming for in the future. You may even think about how you’d do things differently, if you could go back and change things.

Anyway, it’s been a particularly busy year at Infigo. As well as launching new features and upgrading the platform we’ve also been improving the support we provide. And we’re not done yet.

So, prepare to refresh your memory on what we got up to,  some of the improvements we’ve made over the last year, as well as give you a sneaky peek into what you can expect from Infigo in 2023.

Back to 2022

With rising energy costs, supply chain issues, the continuing (albeit lessening) impact of the pandemic and other global challenges you might not want a reminder of what’s happened over the last 12 months. However, with the challenging economic environment it’s been critical for us to make sure our users get optimal value out of the Infigo platform.

So, what events and occasions might you have missed over the last year?

In March, we attended Dscoop Rockies 2022, in Denver, Colorado, for our first event since the start of the pandemic.

Infigo-zero

Infigo is going green through the Infigo-zero carbon neutral initiative. To kick-start the project, 1749 trees were planted (to represent the existing storefronts within our environment) in which will continue to plant for every new storefront thereafter.

New support resources

Much more support resources are incoming from the Hannah and the Support Team in 2023, so make sure you are signed up to our newsletter and communications.

A growing team

New faces from new places; look out for the new members to the Infigo family in 2023, in which we will highlight many through our Meet the Team feature.

The three principles that we believe are fundamental to print e-commerce success

So, what’s been  going on behind the scenes? Well.. in addition to all of the above, we have committed to the three principles that we believe are fundamental to print eCommerce success.

Easier to build

To start with, we introduced our own theme, using the Bulma framework. Coupled with the introduction of appearance settings, you can now easily style up attractive websites, which are responsive, straight out the box.

We also introduced product display and category display settings. These enable users to control the structure and the layout and the format of those individual pages without having to write code or make significant changes. This has reduced the time it takes to get a storefront up and running by days.

Easier to scale

Another upgrade we introduced, which is also a great time saver, is our Adobe InDesign plugin – Infigo Invent.  This plugin allows you to take InDesign files supplied by your clients, make them variable – whether it’s image variables or text variables. You can add all your logic  – how your fields should interact with one another – and then simply export it from InDesign, onto your storefront.

So instead of going through manual steps, such as defining your canvas, output type and fonts the Invent plugin does all the work for you.

Easier to sell

There’s no getting around the fact that any new interface can appear complex on first use. Obviously, when the pressure’s on, trying out a new system on an important job can feel counterintuitive. This is why we have created Infigo Academy.

This is a comprehensive video library that will cover everything from creating a new site, to adding new products to integrating with different systems.

This will be aimed at all levels, so will enable all our users to create any manner of workflows and really push the boundaries of what the platform can do. We’ve also overhauled our Zendesk content so users can find what they need a lot quicker and easier, without having to contact support.

This means your staff will be able to become ‘super users’ of the platform, which in turn means they’ll be able to do a much better job of selling the solution to clients.
