This time is the turn of .NET Software Developer at our Moldova HQ, Dorin Buraga – who shares a few of his creature comforts, out of hour activities, and some insights into what makes him tick.

What’s your favorite food?
My favourite food is Plăcintă. One of our family traditions is to make Plăcintă on the weekends, my favorite being when it’s filled with potatoes or pumpkin!
What’s your biggest achievement in the last 2 years?
Achieving my university degree in Information Technologies.
What do you enjoy most about working for Infigo?
Interacting with the other people that work here with me. If you ever need help, there is always someone here to help you, as a team.
What are your hobbies?
I love swimming. It all started during my childhood, where I would spend every summer at my grandparents house, which is in a small village along the Nistru river.
Now, most weekends during the summer, I try to spend as much time as I can open water swimming.
What can’t you live without?
Definitely my family. I have wonderful parents, grandparents and a younger sister, all of whom I love enormously.
Tell us a bit about yourself, in your own words?
I’m Dorin and I’m a .NET Software Developer based from Infigo Moldova, I’ve been with the company for almost 4 years and this is without doubt the first job I can say with absolute certainty that I do not regret taking.
I come to work every day thinking ‘What new parts of the project will I work on today?’ or ‘What existing functionalities of the project unknown to me will I discover’ and I always learn or find answers for each of them.
Over the last few years, I’ve traveled through my native Moldova, which made me truly understand that even such a small country as ours has such beautiful places that are still well worth visiting. Also during this period, I made an effort to try as many new things for the first time, such as food and drink, as well as activities, such as paragliding, canoeing, bungee jumping, archery, shooting and so on. Next on my list is definitely skydiving.
I actually recently traveled by plane for the first time, at the age of 25! Our team based in Moldova travelled to the UK for a company day from the UK Infigo HQ, and we had the best time. Bring on next year!
Tell us a fact not many people know about you
An interesting fact is that I recently discovered is that I have an allergy to salt water if I stay in for a long time, which was never a problem before. But I remain positive, as besides, there are always lakes and rivers instead!
What is your dream holiday location?
Lake Garda in Italy. I visited on a day trip a few years ago and I was totally blown away. It’s super quiet, the water is crystal clear and you are completely surrounded by mountains. I will definitely visit again.

As part of a team of software developers, I can honestly say that my colleagues are always focused on delivering quality software with innovative functionalities. Before delivering customer requirements, we try to assume the role of the customer and ask ourselves if we would be happy with the results ourselves first.
On most weekends, we can find you
Out of the city. Usually visiting my grandparents village, helping them out around the house, or walking the Nistru beach and village hills.
Beach or mountain?
I’d say I’m more of a beach person, considering my passion for swimming.
