People of Packaging Podcast ep:301 – Infigo is en fuego! Changing the game with web-to-print
In this engaging episode of the People of Packaging Podcast, host Adam Peek sits down with Infigo CEO & Founder, Douglas Gibson. Peppered with both Adam and Douglas’s trademark humour, personal anecdotes, and keen industry insights, this episode makes for a light-hearted yet inspiring listen.
People of Packaging is a podcast that aims to illuminate real-world stories from people within the printing and packaging industry, which as well as being proudly sponsored by specright.com, is masterfully hosted by ‘packaging pastor’ and Packaging Is Awesome founder, Adam Peek.
As well as discussing British regional accents and being mistaken for Hollywood actors, the episode explores how technology is reshaping the printing and packaging industries.
Ground-breaking technology
Broadcasting from Switzerland, Douglas introduces listeners to Infigo, a cutting-edge web-to-print solution designed to streamline the printing process, from order placement to production. By automating processes that traditionally take days – like quoting, file uploads, approvals, and payments – Infigo empowers printers, converters, and brands to operate with unprecedented efficiency.
In just a few clicks, businesses can process complex orders seamlessly, enabling their teams to focus on value-driven activities instead of tedious administrative tasks.
Changing buyer expectations
Adam and Douglas dive into the growing need for businesses to adopt technology in an increasingly competitive market. They discuss how solutions, such as Infigo, allow companies to reduce friction in their workflows, stay agile, and meet the expectations of millennial and Gen Z buyers who demand ease and efficiency.
Douglas’ passion shines through as he explains how the Infigo platform helps brands accelerate time-to-market, test new products faster, and simplify collaboration with suppliers – all while boosting profitability.
Innovative customer engagement
Listeners will also enjoy Douglas’ refreshing, hands-on approach to customer engagement. From his plans to showcase a fully restored 1978 Ford Bronco at upcoming trade shows, to then personally visiting his partners and customers around the globe in it, Douglas explains how Infigo prioritises relationships and injects excitement into a traditionally “boring” industry.
He says: “We like to meet customers. We like to have first-hand relationships. A lot of software companies want to operate behind Google Analytics and Google SEO. That’s not how we do it.
“As you probably know from when we’ve met a few of times before, I’m a very hands-on character and I like to engage with people directly. So yeah, we’re out there.
“So, where we’re involved in organisations, exhibitions, we want to make them fun and interactive. There’s a lot of stigma in our industry, that it’s boring.
“Well, we want to try and evoke some excitement when we are doing this as well. So we’re known for doing the odd, crazy thing here and there when we are at exhibitions.”
