What’s your favourite food?

My favourite meal is probably Chilli. It’s one of those foods that no matter how rubbish I feel, I can always enjoy. My favourite ‘take away’ (if it can be classed as that) is probably a dirty McDonalds, as it isn’t easy getting hold of fast-food from the canal-side, so whenever the opportunity arises I jump at it and order half their menu.

What’s your biggest achievement in the last 2 years?

My biggest career achievement in the last 2 years is graduating to the role of Marketing Manager, having previously held a strategist title. My biggest personal achievement has to be making the big decision to buy, renovate and move onto my boat full-time, or giving up Alcohol over 5 years ago now.

What do you enjoy most about working for Infigo?

Other than a brief hiatus a few years ago, my Infigo career has always involved working with Chris in some shape or form. We work well together and I often tell others it is one of my favourite things about working here. But I also love the product, people and flexibility.

What are your hobbies?

I was a semi-professional drummer and touring drum-technician, although I don’t play anymore due to damaging my ears (being young and invincible!). I also play guitar, do lots of walking with my dog Sam, and enjoy going away in my caravan.

What can’t you live without?

Some people have children. I have a dog. I wouldn’t be without her and she is without doubt the best decision I have made in my life.

Tell us a bit about yourself, in your own words?

My name is James, I have been with Infigo for going on 7 years now and in that time, seen lots of change.

My main role is to help Chris oversee the Marketing Team, helping generate outbound and inbound marketing, coordinating our attendance at global print events, email and social media campaigns and ultimately, driving new leads for our wonderful sales team to get their teeth into.

Originally based in Crawley, West Sussex, I first joined the company as a ‘local’ to Infigo HQ, however my personal circumstances have changed exponentially since the adoption of remote/hybrid working and 4-day week operated by Infigo.

So much so, that I made the decision to buy and fully renovate a 58ft houseboat about 8 months ago, which I now live and work onboard full-time, fully off-grid, whilst exploring the vast UK canal network.

And before you ask, no, I don’t get sea sick.

Tell us a fun fact not many people know about you?

I used to jam and play drums with Mike Kerr, playing his Royal Blood songs, before he recruited the irreplaceable Benji Thatcher (we all went to music college together).

What is your dream holiday location?

Probably Patagonia, for the scenery.

Why would you recommend Infigo to potential customers?

Having been part of hundreds of meetings over the years, I can say with certainty that every department has our customers and partners in mind, always.

We genuinely do care, and want every single customer to succeed.

On most weekends, we can find you

Fixing something on my boat, walking my dog along the canal, or having a coffee at a chilled café somewhere

Beach or mountain?

I walk my dog twice a day, everyday. Usually cross-country on hikes and up mountains, so if I had to choose it would be a beach, just because I enjoy having a break.

We hope you enjoyed our meet the team feature. Stay tuned for future additions, when we will be shining the spotlight on another member of the Infigo team.
