Blog: Spearheading a new mental health initiative with the Dscoop community

Posted on

We are thrilled to be leading a ground-breaking new project within the Dscoop global community, aimed at promoting mental health and wellness. This latest program follows a number of staff wellbeing initiatives introduced by Infigo.

A dedicated community for wellbeing in the print industry

Infigo has teamed up with other leading members of the Dscoop community, to provide a range of support to business leaders in the print industry,

This initiative is led by four passionate Dscoopers, from diverse industry backgrounds: Infigo Head of Global Marketing, Chris Minn, GPA (Fedrigoni Group) Director of Marketing Communications & e-Commerce, Jessica DeCola, MindFire Inc. Co-founder & President, David Rosendahl, and Precision Proco CEO, Jon Bailey.

Their collective vision is to create a community that prioritizes mental health and wellness, providing a safe space for open discussions and support.

The group’s mission

The quartet of print industry gurus plan to:

  • Emphasise the universal importance of mental health: Address and debunk the myths and stigmas associated with mental health, making it a normalised topic of conversation.
  • Discuss challenges openly: Understand how personal and professional challenges can manifest in various forms and affect individuals differently.
  • Learn proven strategies: Gain knowledge from psychologists and field experts on topics such as wellness, resilience, leadership, and work/life balance.
  • Support each other: Build a network of sharing, resources, and connections to help one another navigate through personal and professional journeys.

Infigo’s Chris Minn said on the initiative: “We don’t want to give too much away – you’ll have to sign up for the launch party to find out exactly what will be on offer through this incredible community.

“However, we’ll be tackling many of the issues that can grind us down in the print industry, often without us even realising it.

“For example, we’ll discuss important topics such as juggling parental responsibilities with work, how leaders can do a better job of understanding the importance of mental health in the workplace and much, much more.”

Join us for the launch party

On Thursday, July 25th at 11am EST / 5pm CET (4pm BST) we will host an online launch party which will give you the opportunity to learn more about the initiative, hear from the leaders, and discover how you can contribute to and benefit from this transformative community.

Part of our wellness drive

Since  2022, Infigo have not only gained official certification as a Great Place to Work®, but we have also been recognised as one of the Best Workplaces for Women, Best Workplaces for Wellbeing and Best Workplaces in Tech.

While approximately 10,000 organisations achieve accreditation each year, only a small number are awarded Best Workplaces™ status, which is why Infigo is so proud to have made the list in the UK.

As part of these wellbeing initiatives, Infigo has prioritised a healthy work/life balance for staff by introducing a 4-day working week.

Wider wellness and sustainability support

However, Infigo has also been instrumental in providing wider industry wellness by supporting the Printing Charity. Established more than 200 years ago, the Printing Charity’s goals are to provide practical, emotional and financial support when it’s needed.

We have also supported other human sustainability endeavours, including sponsoring live events from our friends at Man Up / Man Down, the podcast for middle-aged men that tackles topics that men are often too embarrassed to discuss with their friends.

You can also listen to our PrintPod podcast episode, Mind Games, in which we discuss men’s mental health with the voices behind the Man Up / Man Down podcast.

“Together, let’s create a supportive and innovative community that values mental health and wellness.”

Chris continued: “While achieving corporate goals are important, we are all in agreement that even if we can “reach the one,” making a difference in the life of a single individual—this initiative will be worth it!

“We need your curiosity, passion, and unique perspective to make this movement revolutionary. Join us in this journey to build upon the incredible momentum from Dscoop and cultivate a transformative movement that will resonate for years to come.

“Together, let’s create a supportive and innovative community that values mental health and wellness, paving the way for a brighter, healthier future in the digital print industry.”
