What’s your favourite food?

My favourite take away is definitely Chinese. Specifically, Mr Chus, in my home town of Lytham St Annes. You just can’t beat it!

What’s your biggest achievement in the last 2 years?

Pushing a software business towards 1 million pounds in new software sales from a standing start.

What do you enjoy most about working for Infigo?

The word TEAM. We are always a team and although sometimes this word can be over used, the one thing that Infigo have is a true team spirit. The answer is always YES. When help is needed, new features are added, customers make requests, or support is required. Yes, we can do this.

What are your hobbies?

Football has always been a passion of mine, but lately, I’ve become just as invested in hockey, watching my daughter climb the ranks from club to county level. Now, she’s setting her sights on competing internationally in 2025.

What can’t you live without?

My family, everything I do is for them.

Tell us about your journey in the print industry?

I’ve spent the last 32 years immersed in the print industry, experiencing first-hand how technology has evolved. My journey began at Grasmere Press in Blackpool, where I started as a fresh-faced apprentice. Armed with a Quadra Mac and the legendary Syquest disks, I quickly dove into the world of design. Back then, “saving your work” could take longer than actually creating it! But I wasn’t just any Junior Mac Designer—I was eager to climb the ladder and embrace new challenges.

Any memorable moments from your early career?

One that always makes me laugh is my time working with a Firey Majestic Digital Printer, which unexpectedly became a key player in Blackpool’s football pub scene. Every Thursday evening, this state-of-the-art machine was churning out posters for local football team pub nights. It may have been an “accident,” but let’s call it great community service! Amidst all the poster-making chaos, I successfully completed my apprenticeship and set my sights on bigger opportunities.

How did you transition into Direct Mail ?

After finishing my apprenticeship, I moved into Direct Mail, where I was introduced to the dynamic duo of Scitex Brisque and Dalim Twist—two game-changing workflow solutions that occasionally tested my sanity. Before I knew it, I was operating a Lotem 800V, a film and CTP device that ran 24/7, much like my work ethic at the time. Managing complex systems, troubleshooting on the go, and keeping up with constant advancements meant no two days were ever the same.

What has kept you passionate about the print industry for over three decades ?

Through all the changes and technological advancements, my passion for print has remained the same. From the early days of painstaking hand planning to the fast-paced world of modern direct mail, I’ve seen how innovation has shaped the industry. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned in over 30 years, it’s that no matter how advanced technology gets, it’s the human touch—and maybe a pub poster or two—that keeps the world of print alive and thriving.

Tell us a fun fact not many people know about you?

At 16, I worked as a Warburton’s bread delivery boy—those 3:30 AM starts quickly convinced me it wasn’t a long-term career!

What is your dream holiday location?

Probably Greece for the beaches or Florida, for the theme parks.

Why would you recommend Infigo to potential customers?

We provide a solid platform which is deeper than an MIS platform for functionality, robust features, excellent support and a continued development roadmap with industry partners what more could you ask for?

On most weekends, we can find you

Watching hockey—it’s a sport I’m really passionate about.

Beach or mountain?

Mountain – being from the North of England, where sunny days are rare, I make the most of having the Lake District on my doorstep, spending a huge amount of time climbing cliffs and paddleboarding.

We hope you enjoyed our meet the team feature. Stay tuned for future additions, when we will be shining the spotlight on another member of the Infigo team.
