Infigo are celebrating innovation within the labels & packaging market by sponsoring the inaugural Digital Labels & Packaging Awards, building on our continued success as the premier supplier to the label and packaging space.
Renowned industry publisher Whitmar announced in the spring that it was launching a brand-new awards programme, specifically honouring those pushing the boundaries of digital tools in the labels and packaging space.
With ten categories highlighting the range of digital production, printers and converters will be able to showcase innovation, including: designing cutting-edge labels and packaging with a digital-first mind-set; printing primary or secondary labels and packaging using inkjet, toner, or hybrid technology; converting and finishing reels and sheets into high-value saleable products; and striving to deliver the highest levels of environmental performance.
From labels and shrink sleeves, to pouches, folding cartons and corrugated boxes, the new awards event will showcase printers’ and converters’ best work that has been printed and converted digitally.
The inaugural event will be held at the world-famous cricket ground, The Kia Oval, London, on 15th July. A Supreme Award will also be presented to the shortlisted entry that scores highest with the judges.
Douglas Gibson, CEO & Founder of Infigo, said: “We are seeing tremendous growth in the packaging and label space for a variety of reasons, but while we are seeing growth in numbers, we are also seeing an explosion of creativity. From those creating medicinal packaging that is secure yet easy to use for older users, to helping micro-brands make an impression with innovative designs, it’s an exciting time for the industry.
We are incredibly proud to be celebrating converters and packagers that are constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible, by digitising everything from design to die-cutting. Not only will these awards highlight those who are already breaking new ground, but they should also inspire others in the industry to take a look at the possibilities of a digital production workflow“
